October 1938 Ludwig & Ludwig 'Standard' model 14x5" in original Black Lacquer.

Solid 1-ply maple shell with re-rings. 

Date stamped '3810' = October 1938.

Original nickel over brass hardware, including three point strainer (which works a treat), imperial lugs, internal damper and butt end.

There are three tension rods that aren't original but you wouldn't notice. 

Black lacquer finish has the expected crazing and is showing it's age but as many would think, this adds character. 

These drums are the same 1-ply solid maple shell as the Slingerland Radio King's that are very sought after. 

The drum has been stripped, cleaned and polished. Fitted with brand new Remo heads and Puresound wires. Evans 360 heads might fit more effortlessly but the Remo's do fit.
