Nickel over brass shell with crimped snare beds.

Nickel over brass hardware including original strainer, butt, single flange hoops and tension rods.

8 lug design.

The tension rod claws are reproduction. This is a nice upgrade as a lot of the originals were cracked.

These are my favourite brass snares around. I have one of these drums myself and I can't recommend them enough. Everybody loves a brass snare and often go for a black beauty but I can't help but appreciate the 8 lug more over the 10.

There is scratches and dents on the shell, one dent notably beside the strainer.

There is also aging, including some bits of brass hue showing. See all photos for condition.

It really does sound beautiful. It’s beautifully controlled and warm without being honky like a lot of brass snares have a tendency of.
