Jul 1965 Ludwig 'Jazz Festival' 14x5" in Sky Blue Pearl

A beautiful example of a very sought after and respected snare drum.

This drum features chrome hardware including first gen P83 strainer, internal baseball bat white felt dampener, butt end, hoops and tension rods.

The wrap and chrome work are in remarkable shape with minimal aging/pitting/scratches.

There is a little bit of seperation between the outer ply and inner ply but I believe this is just to the original glue drying out. If the new owner wished, they could add some glue in but I see no structural issues.

Serial number: 150436 which dates it to 1965. There is also a date stamp which I believe reads: Jul 20 1965.

Stripped, cleaned and polished in August 2020.

Fitted with brand new Remo Vintage Ambassador and Ambassador snare side heads with brand new Puresound Custom Pro Steel wires.
