1955-59 Slingerland 'Student Model Radio King' 14x5.5” in original Blue Duco

3-ply shell (mahogany inner, maple outer ply).

Nickel hardware, including original rapid snare strainer, single flange hoops and claws. The extension part of the strainer is a previous owners home build effort but works well and makes using the strainer much easier than without the missing part.

Shows aging on hardware in places and duco finish, but overall, is in really nice shape.

There was a bit of wood missing from the reinforcement hoop at the scarf join. This has been filled in and sanded back. it won't affect the structural duties of the shell, but now at least the sharp edge has been filled.

Two of the original lug mounting screws were missing when the drum came to me. I have used other washers to fit one of the lugs. Obviously this works as it should and has no reason for concern.
