3-ply maple shell with maple reinforcing hoops.
8 lug design
Date stamped 4602 - meaning Feb 1946.
Original nickel over brass hardware including double flange hoops, strainer and internal dampener (although the original felt piece has been replaced with foam. The strainer particularly works amazingly, if only all vintage snare strainers were this smooth and effective.
The lacquer finish is lovely but does show crazing, and flaking, mostly around the hardware.
This drum came into the workshop in great condition. I have given it a minor spruce up, notably polishing up the shell and checking everything over.
Drums don’t get much classier than this!
