1948-1952 WFL Ludwig 'Legionnaire Parade Drum' 14x10"

With original nickel over brass hardware and original lacquer finish, which is now a creamy antique white kind of colour. The kind of white that you wouldn’t paint your walls, but a kind of white that you’d expect to find on a drum of this age.

3-ply shell - mahogany (inner), poplar (middle), maple (outer).

8 lugs - single tension design with engraved WFL claws.

The drum is in great shape. Of course, having wooden hoops and a painted finish, there are scratches, dents and scuffs, but nothing you wouldn’t expect for a drum of this age. The top hoop isn’t perfectly straight but will tension up fine.

I have decided to leave this snare unrestored as I think the nickel hardware just looks perfect with the aged finish.

I have fitted it with the original calf top head, a used Remo ambassador snare side and brand new Puresound Custom Pro wires.
