This is an absolute beauty of a kit. I think you’d struggle to find a nicer example.
The Ludwig Standard range was introduced in ’68 to compete with budget Japanese kits of the time, but these shells are the same legendary shells as all the other Ludwig kits of the time but with different hardware which must have been cheaper to make. The strata finishes were only available on the Standard range and are unbelievably classy! Very unique drums and certainly not budget.
This kit was bought in America by a bar owner for their venue, but never really came out of their cases and got used so they are in incredible condition.
Stripped, cleaned and polished up in January 2022. They really do look brand new.
