1979 Maxwin ‘Funky 405’ in Metallic Gold

Sized: 22x14”, 12x8”, 13x9” and 16x16”

From what I understand, Pearl replaced Maxwin with the Export series. A first kit for generations.

These are budget kits but with nice solid hardware.

With all the drums being single headed, they certainly bring off the concert tom vibe.

One of the drum head topped screws from a tom mount is missing but it still holds.

The wrap has aging, scuffs and scratches but it shines very nicely. It’s a vivid wrap which you just don’t see with budget kits these days.

This set comes with original bass drum and floor tom legs, and two hexagonal tom mounts. The toms are all fitted with internal dampeners which work as they should.

Sold as seen. Please see photos for condition.

I have stripped, cleaned and polished these drums, and even fitted the toms with brand new Remo Controlled Sound Clear Black Dot drum heads. The bass drum is fitted with a used Remo Clear Ambassador.
