1967 Ludwig Acrolite 14x5"

Date stamped: Sep 11 1967

Keystone badge, serial number: 532846

A drum that requires no introduction.

All original P83 strainer, baseball bat internal dampener with white felt, butt end, tension rods and hoops.

There are light scratches and scuffs as very common with these 60s Acrolite shells. The old head collars have also scratched the top and bottom of the shell but this is of course covered when heads are on.

There is some pitting and aging across the hardware, but overall it’s a drum that’s been played but will continue to do so. There is some hue showing on the lugs which might have been tarnished from lube, which was all over the drum when the drum came in.

See all photos for condition. The last two photos show the condition of the drum as it came in.

These 60s model Acrolites are proving more and more difficult to come by.

Stripped, cleaned and polished in my workshop November 2020.

Fitted with brand new Remo Vintage Ambassador and Ambassador snare side heads, with brand new Puresound Custom Pro Steel wires.

Worldwide shipping is available at checkout. Add snare to your cart for shipping quote.
