1971 Ludwig 'Standard S-100' 14x5" in original Lemon Strata

3-ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany shell with maple reinforcing rings and original interior paint.

Serial number: 49247.

There is a paper tag on the inside that states the model number 100 and also date: 59717, which could mean 5th Sept 1971, or 9th May 1971, or neither of these! 

Fitted with original P83 script strainer, internal dampener, butt end, lugs and tension rods. 

Chrome hardware in nice condition for age with minimal pitting and scratching. There is some wear on the hoops but nothing too major. 

The shell and the edges are in great condition. 

In the late 60s, the Ludwig Standard range was launched to compete with budget level Japanese ranges of the time. This, whilst it was budget at the time, is essentially the same legendary Jazz Festival shell but with different lugs and badge, fitted with a unique wrap that was only available on the Standard range. Grab a bargain whilst you can!
