Aluminium spun shell, à la 60s Acrolite but without the centre bead.

With original P83 script strainer, internal dampener, butt end, lugs, tension rods and hoops.

In the late 60s, the Ludwig Standard range was launched to compete with budget level Japanese ranges of the time. The two metal snare drum options in the Standard range were an aluminium 14x5" with chrome plating or with 'Acrolite' finish. This is essentially the same shell as the 60s Acrolites but without the centre bead - some would say, without the bead it gives it more of a focused sound.

This is a really nice example, with only very minor scuffs, aging and scratches expected for a drum of this age.
