3-ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany shell with maple reinforcement rings.
Nickel over brass hardware including original internal dampener. The strainer has been replaced for a 40s WFL strainer and butt end, so there is one extra hole behind the strainer and two behind the butt end, although you can barely see those two.
Not all tension rods are original but work as they should.
The lugs show their age with the orange-ness of the brass coming through.
There is cracking and scratches on the wrap but she's 85+ year old, so it's to be expected. Under the badge, this is probably most noticeable.
In places, the wrap is slightly more yellowed, but on the whole it’s aged delightfully.
These drums really don’t crop up. I’m honoured to have it back in my workshop.
Please see all photos for condition.
I originally sold this drum in 2017. It has recently came back in and has been freshened up in my workshop and fitted with brand new Remo Vintage Ambassador and Ambassador Hazy heads and Puresound Custom Pro Steel wires.
