1966 Ludwig 'Jazz Festival' 14x5" in Blue & Silver Duco

A drum that needs no introduction!

This is a really lovely example of a sought after snare, with minimal aging or flaked lacquer.

3-ply shell - mahogany (inner), poplar (middle), maple (outer) with maple rerings.

Original P83 strainer, baseball bat dampener with white felt, butt end and chrome hardware.

Serial number #429617 dates it to 1966. Catalog scan from 1963.

Freshly stripped, cleaned and polished in my workshop, July 2020.

Fitted with brand new Remo Vintage Ambassador and Ambassador Snare Side heads with Puresound Custom Pro wires. The drum came to me with original 60s heads and wires, and whilst they aren't in a great condition to use and play, I will include these with the sale.
