This is the scarcely seen early model of this drum. Usually we see the 1964 onwards model of this drum that features the centre lines on the shell, this one - with no lines, was only featured in the 1963 catalog. I think the lack of the lines on the shell makes it look nicer and less like a budget drum, personally. It’s a delightful brass drum and frankly, if it had a Ludwig badge it would be over double the price.

This drum is in remarkably great condition, with all original chrome hardware including "Rim-Shot hoops", "Zoomatic" strainer, internal muffler, butt end and tension rods all with barely any aging, scratches, scuffs etc.

These drums have wonderfully round edges which make for great skin contact with great deep beds. I’ve never had a customer be disappointed with these Slingerland COB snares. You won’t be disappointed.
