Date stamp looks like Feb 15 1963

Original hardware including COB hoops, baseball bat damper with red felt, tension rods and butt end. The strainer fitted is a modern Gibraltar piccolo replacement which has been modified to fit the original holes. Another strainer has also previously been fitted leaving extra holes).

The original Galaxy wrap usually has glimmers of red/pink. This have faded more to a consistent black sparkle with more silver/gold, the glimmers of red are more visible under the hoops/hardware.

This finish is seldom seen and is often regarded a collectors finish, as are these Downbeat snares these days. This drum is ready to be played as it has been. It shows use/wear but nothing too major.
