1958-59 Ludwig Transitional badged 'Festival Model School Concert' 15x6.5" in original White Marine Pearl

3-ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany shell with maple reinforcement hoops,

16 lug design,

with original white marine pearl wrap,

with original nickel over brass hardware including WFL Syncro-Mesh snare strainer and internal dampener,

and fitted with rare Transitional Badge dating the drum to 1958-59.

I used to own one of these drums and adored it. They record delightfully and tune up and down very well. My personal one ended up going to a local studio as I wasn’t playing it near enough what it should’ve. Once you play a 15” you’ll never want to go back to a 14”! You can get that low beefiness but by keeping your tension at a nice level for nice response!

The last one of these I had lasted 10 mins on my site before being snapped up! This one is in much better condition and has the rare transitional badge too.

Stripped, cleaned and polished in my workshop and fitted with brand new Remo heads and Puresound wires.
