Serial numbers: 12” - 389501, 14” - 385160, 20” - 392505.

3-ply mahogany (outer), poplar (middle), maple (inner) shells with original white interior coating and maple reinforcing hoops.

Toms are fitted with original baseball bat internal dampeners with white felt.

This kit came off my bench in September 2017 and sold straight away back then. The kit has come back to me from the original buyer and is now available for sale again.

The previous owner upgraded some of the hardware to modern Ludwig reproductions and the railmount is DW which takes two of the four holes from the original Ludwig railmount. There have been no extra holes drilled to accommodate this mod, but there is two unused holes. If the buyer wants, they can reinstall an original Ludwig 60s rail mount.

The floor tom leg brackets are modern Ludwig examples and have a few rubber grommets to space the legs away from the hoop. The cymbal mount on the bass drum and also the tom mount on the 12” are all also modern Ludwig examples which are sturdier and more reliable than the 60s originals. All these changes have used existing holes and there are no extra holes.

All chrome work is really nice and the shells have aged beautifully with minimal fading.

Some tension rods on the toms aren’t original but still work as they should. The bass drum hoops have some chips in the black paint.

The kit is still in remarkable shape and is fitted with Ambassador Coated Classic Fit batters and Clear Ambassador resos on the toms, and on the bass drum; the original 60s Ludwig reso head fitted with a Joe Cox Drums decal and a Powerstroke P3 Hazy Felt tone batter. The batter head features a Tackle leather kick patch and a leather kick hoop protector.
