1965 Sonor Teardrop 'K190 Chicago' Outfit 20x14", 13x8", 16x14.5" in Multi-Brilliant Gold.

This kit features the wonderful 6-ply configuration that came after the 3-ply shells which were discovered to be a bit delicate and were prone to bending. These however are perfectly round and are in great physical shape. The bolts either side of the tom holder, spur and cymbal mounts are for reinforcement and have clamps underneath to support the shell. They are not extra holes. There are no extra holes across the whole set. 

The shallow toms really do sing wonderfully. They are warm and punchy and suit bop and pop/rock very very well. I have numerous Sonor Teardrop sets which I will cherish forever, they really are wonderful. 

As to be expected with these 'satin flame' wraps, there is spider cracks around mounts and hardware but overall the wrap is tight and secure.

The kit has been stripped, cleaned and polished, fitted with brand Remo heads (toms: Vintage A over Coated Ambassador; kick: Coated Ambassador over Ambassador Fiberskyn) and finished off with a repro Sonor and Joe Cox Drums decal for the cherry on the top. I sanded back the bass drum hoops and resprayed in black gloss. Sadly there seems to be a bit of black paint residue that has stained a bit of the inlay at some point in the kit's life, but it's virtually unnoticeable unless you get up close and personal! 

Floor tom legs are modern but work fine. The original legs would've been straight and would fold up and live attached to the drum. Original tom holder is included. Bass drum has original damper and spurs. Toms have original slotted t-rods.

All hardware is very clean overall, but the 16" hoops are pitted.
