1965 Ludwig 'Jazz Festival' 14x5" in Blue & Silver Duco

Serial number #203943 - dating it to 1965.

Legendary 3-ply maple/poplar/maple shell with maple rerings and coated white interior.

Original nickel over brass hardware including P83 strainer, internal baseball bat dampener with white felt, butt end, NOB hoops, butt end and tension rods.

Original blue & silver lacquer.

What a delight this is! It’s really a great example with shiny nickel hardware and a characterful shell with just a perfect amount of flaking and chipped paint, mostly around the hardware and where the heads have made contact.

This is a totally classic snare with its history proudly showing.

Please see photos for condition.

Originally stripped, cleaned and polished in my workshop in July 2021. The drum recently came back in after the previous buyer has opted for something a little different for his collection. I have stripped it again and given it a once over ready for sale again.

Fitted with lightly used Remo Vintage Ambassador and Ambassador snare side heads, with Puresound Custom Pro Steel wires.
