November 1938 Leedy Broadway Parallel 14x7", solid maple 1-ply shell in original White Marine Pearl.

This is a fantastic sounding drum that would be ideal for a true player or studio use. These drums are the same spec as the legendary Slingerland Radio King's, so you know it's going to be good!

Freshly restored, cleaned & polished on my workbench, and fitted with brand new Remo heads and Puresound wires.

The drum was originally a Broadway Parallel snare, with bulky and problematic parallel mechanism for the snare wires. A previous owner has taken this out, which leaves all the original holes showing. I have decided to fit a simplistic Dunnett 845 Beer Tap throw and butt, making use of two of the original holes to save drilling the shell incase the new owner would like to buy and fit an original or alternative mechanism.

Nickel over brass hardware. Engraved 'Broadway Parallel' hoops.

There is one tension rod and insert that isn't original. All tension rods have modern stainless steel washers.

There is slight lifting of the wrap at the seam, and also a bit of 'bubbling' wrap where the original parallel mechanism would've been, as photographed.

Stamped 3811 (November 1938).
