1934 Leedy Reliance 14x5" Nickel over Brass, 8 lug snare. 

With original single flange hoops, four-screw Presto strainer, butt end, tube lugs and tension rods. There are two tension rod claws have been swapped for reproduction ones as they had cracked.

These really are fantastic snares. They are so easy to tune up or down, and really do sound crisp and have a lot of body and sensitivity. 

Originally listed in 1930 (first catalog pic), the 'Reliance' snare were only offered with six lugs, but a few years later in 1934 two more lugs were added (second catalog pic), so this drum dates to around 1934-35. 

Freshly cleaned, polished and fitted with brand new Remo Vintage A and Ambassador snare side heads; and Puresound Custom Pro steel wires.
