Wonderful 3-ply mahogany shells
Original die cast hoops and slotted tension rods on toms
This is an incredibly delightful kit. I love these mahogany British made shells, and this is probably the best finish Premier did.
This kit was previously owned by Rick Jupp (co-founder of Elbow).
Hardware dates this kit to roughly 1968-72.
Premier serial numbers don’t really date the drums, but here they are anyway: 22” - 4927, 12” - 8551, 14” - 11415, 16” 9022
There is some scuffs, tom and pedal rash but overall, it’s in great condition with some nice shiny chrome work.
The kit comes with original spurs, floor tom legs and tom mounts and arms.
All toms are fitted with internal dampeners but the damper thumb screws are all different. They are all Premier/Olympic but from slightly different eras, although this might go unnoticed. Similarly, the thumb screws on the 12” and 14” are ever so slightly different design (although both Premier), but again, this would probably go unnoticed.
There is one slight wrap lift/bubble on the floor tom but is secured behind a lug and the skin/hoop.
The badge on the 14” tom doesn’t face forward, but this is how it left the factory.
Please see photos for condition.
Stripped, cleaned and polished in my workshop in September 2023.
Fitted with brand new Remo Vintage Ambassador batters and Coated Ambassadors resos on the toms and Coated Ambassador batter and Fiberskyn Ambassador reso on kick, with repro Premier decal.
