1964 Beverley '99' Big Beat Outfit - 20", 12", 16" & 14" Snare
1964 Beverley '99' Big Beat Outfit - 20x14", 12x8", 16x16" & 14x5" 'Super De Luxe Cosmic' 14x5" in original Oyster Blue.
All shells are 3-ply birch with beech re-rings.
The kit and snare has been cleaned up on my bench and fitted with brand new Remo heads and Puresound wires. Kick has Coated Ambassador batter and Fiberskyn Ambassador reso. Toms are pre-internationally sized, and are fitted with Coated Ambassador's on both sides. Snare has a Vintage A on batter and Ambassador snare side. Snare wires are Puresound Custom Pro Steel.
All original hoops, tension rods, claws, bass drum spurs, tom mount and cymbal holder. (Cymbal is a Super 5* 18", this is available seperately).
Chrome work has come up lovely. One of the best I've seen on one of this era. The finish is lovely also, as you can see. Bass hoops have been stripped back to bare wood finish to compliment wrap.
Snare has original damper and butt, but original strainer was not practical so I have drilled in one hole to accommodate a Premier HiFi strainer which makes the snare usable again. There is now one extra hole underneath the middle of the strainer. You can barely see this. There is slight seperation between the reinforcing ring but heads fit a treat and there's no dramas there.
On the top of the bass drum there seems to have been a shattering of a wrap. This has been reglued down and is probably only visible in certain light for the player. The plastic black script badge has also snapped off. Part of the floor badge has snapped too.
The floor tom wrap seam had come very loose but this has been reapplied now.
** Due to Joe's touring schedule with Catfish and the Bottlemen, Joe won't be able to ship this kit until after his return on 1st June. **
